I was born at 6am on Tuesday 2nd November at 35 Glebe Road, Long Ashton, Somerset, England. John Clifford Charles Neale, son of David Charles Neale (b. 1934), civil engineer, and Angela June Neale (b. 1940), school teacher.

Computer programmer for Fiveways Software, Birmingham. Produced educational software for Sinclair Spectrum, BBC Micro, Commodore 64

Cambridge University, Jesus College. Studied Mathematics. Choral Exhibition with Jesus College Chapel Choir

Sang with Cambridge University Chamber Choir, including tour of New Zealand, July 1986

Conducting debut with Jesus College Music Society Orchestra in concert of Beethoven''s 5th Symphony, 3rd Piano Concerto and CEMatthews'' Music for a Celebration.

Stage debut as Mountararat in Gilbert and Sullivan''s Iolanthe

Durham University, St John''s College. Teacher training course in senior level mathematics

Sang as bass lay-clerk in the choir of Durham Cathedral
